It's the Relationship!!

Have you ever heard someone say, I don’t want to listen to the “all-blessing” gospel?  I’m just fed up with people saying come to Jesus He will heal you, you’ll receive a miracle, you’ll get the financial miracle.  Well, just this week I heard this from a sister during my conversation with her.  This person is a believer in Christ.  She has a deep longing and yearning to know what exactly Jesus did by dying on the cross.

This made me think deeply and intently.  Well, I am not a person who has diluted the Gospel and by God’s immense and sustaining Grace and Power will never do it.  God gave me this vision and burden -“to empower lives for a closer walk with God,” primarily focusing on the relationship with God rather than just the blessing of God.

When we minister to people, there are different kinds of audiences.  Some people look for solutions to life’s problems such as healing, finance, the blessings in life, etc.  Some look for solutions to their emotional and spiritual needs.  No matter what the need is, the only solution is God.  In Him and through Him all things are satisfied and made complete.

When Jesus was preaching the Kingdom of God on this planet, there were different kinds of people around Him.  Some came for healing, some for deliverance, some for other kinds of miracles, and some for hearing His sensational speech and His teachings, which were eye-opening and liberating.  Some were His close followers who had renounced their worldly work and occupations to be with Jesus. Some were fault-finders, always looking for ways to trap Jesus and put an end to Him.

Jesus after His 40 days of fasting began His preaching saying“Change your mind (repent), turn to God for the Kingdom of God has arrived” Matthew 4:17 (paraphrased).  Those who changed their minds and followed Jesus closely became His disciples.  In the four Gospels of the New Testament, we see that Jesus did not share everything with everyone in all situations.  He shared the parables with all but expounded the deeper meanings with His disciples and answered all their questions to bring clarity to their minds.  Many of His teachings were not openly expounded to all.  He shared them exclusively with His disciples.  For example,
Luke 17
20 Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display,
21 Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].
22 And He said to the disciples, The time is coming when you will long to see [even] one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see [it].

He shares very little with the others, but He takes pain to explain the whole matter and reveal the hidden with His disciples starting from Verses 22 through to 37.

Jesus gave the commission or the authority granted for a particular action or function to His disciples who were His close followers and who were with Him during His 3-1/2 years of ministry on earth.  He says “All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and earth has been given to me.  So my well-trained close followers go and make others also close followers of me like yourself by teaching them God’s Kingdom and God’s Kingdom Principles.
Matthew 28: 16- 20 (Amp)
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed and made an appointment with them.
17 And when they saw Him, they fell down and worshiped Him; but some doubted.
18 Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
19 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).

Therefore, as the Ambassadors of His Kingdom, we need to have a living, active, and growing relationship with our King, growing in the knowledge of Him and His Kingdom. The Lord God reveals Himself in our daily walk with Him through His Word and through our situations and circumstances.  So, shall we walk in the progressive revelation that comes through the ever-growing and progressive relationship with the Lord and King Jesus Christ?

Hope this post has been a blessing to you.  What motivates you to come to Jesus daily? Please feel free to share.

The Everlasting Father!!

One of the names given to Jesus by the Holy Spirit, even many, many hundreds of years before Jesus was born on this planet is Everlasting Father (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus is the visible personification of the invisible God.

The concept of family and fatherhood is all God’s idea.  It is never a man’s idea.  When we read the genealogy of Jesus in Luke 3:38 it is mentioned that the first man on the face of the earth, Adam, is the son of God.  For all others, Luke gives the name of a human being as the father’s name, but for Adam he says the father name as “GOD.”

Luke 3
37 The son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan,
38 The son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

The very purpose of Jesus coming into the world is to restore the relationship of Father and Son between God and Mankind, which Adam lost because of His disobedience.

Through Jesus we are brought into the family of God.  We have the Spirit of Adoption and the privilege to call the Creator of the Universe as our Father.

Romans 8
14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!
16 The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God.
17 And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.

So, to be the son and daughter of God, we need to come into Christ and have that Spirit of Adoption.  Having come into the family, our goal should be to be led by the Spirit of God, because Word of God says for all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

This post is intended to focus the attention on the Father and His character.  Two main characters that are prominent for a father are that a father always signifies protection and providence.

Father Protects:
We see in the natural world a father always takes care and protects the family.  This is innate and natural.  How did it become natural? This is being incorporated into the human DNA from God’s DNA. Again, I am saying what we see in the natural setting is God originated.

Jesus says in John 10
27 The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.
28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all [else]; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of the Father’s hand.
30 I and the Father are One.

Jesus who is the Everlasting Father gives us Everlasting life and He also protects us from the destruction of Eternal Life that He has given us.  He says you and I are safe in His Hands and His Father’s hands.  He also says that He and His Father are one and the same. What a great joy!!

Father Provides:
The concept of a man providing for the family as a father is again from God and not from man.  God the Father provided everything for His son Adam in the Garden of Eden.  There was nothing lacking.  God made sure that His son Adam was happy and comfortable.  Adam enjoyed all the provisions until He had the perfect relationship with His Father God.  Unfortunately, he lost it through the deception of the enemy.  God didn’t give up and He wanted to restore the relationship and the resultant blessings to Adam’s generation.  So, He came in the form of Jesus, the Everlasting Father, and got back all the lost blessings and made a way of restoration through Himself.

So, if you are in Christ Jesus through the born-again experience of making Jesus the Lord and savior of your life, do not worry....your provision is taken care.  You are well-provided through Jesus as we read in Romans 8.

Romans 8
17 And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.

So, we need to take our eyes off of the situations and people and focus our attention on this Everlasting Father who is our protector and our provider.  As we do it...the next thing is too see the manifestation of the wonderful character of this Great Everlasting Father in our lives.  Do you agree?  If you agree, pls share your thoughts and comments related to this post.

p.s. Actually, initially intended as a FB status post and eventually changed into a blog post...:-)

Breakthrough - Breaking in and Breaking out

We have often heard a term called “Breakthrough” and people saying I want a breakthrough in my life.  The dictionary says that a breakthrough is a major achievement or success that permits further progress; or an act of overcoming or penetrating an obstacle or restriction; or a military offensive that penetrates an enemy's lines of defense or a productive insight or an important discovery so on and so forth.

In common terms, people indicate what they mean by breakthrough is they need something sudden or dramatic to happen for that major change in their situation. A sudden positive dramatic change in one’s life and condition can be called a breakthrough.  As believers we need breakthroughs to progress further into the purposes of God for the Glory of God and this can happen only by divine intervention. How many of you are wanting a sudden change in your personal lives, finances, health, family lives, marriages, or education? You can think of any of your condition where you eagerly desiring a divine intervention, for a sudden positive change, that will catapult you to the greater purposes of God for your lives.

Since last Sunday, the Lord introduced a new term called the Breaker Anointing that is needed for a supernatural breakthrough, for a break in and break out.  Are you understanding it? God can do a miracle just like that and He does not even need to teach a process, but what God is doing is, He is taking us into a narrow path and making us to understand the process for that move of God in our lives for a supernatural breakthrough.

You may have to go through fasting and prayer to receive the divine intervention and success. The intention of this post is to take this as a guideline to seek the Lord in fasting and prayer and receive your miracles and breakthroughs for the Glory of the Living God.

HAVE THE REVELATION OF THE BREAKER:
First God was teaching me to have the revelation of the ONE who can cause a breakthrough.  He was teaching me about the Perez, one of the twins born to Judah and Tamar, who became the first born suddenly, unexpectedly to qualify for the blessings of a first born. The name "Perez" means "breach" (from paratz, meaning "to break through").
Perez is derived from the Hebrew word – parats which means
      1. to break or burst out (from womb or enclosure)
      2. to break through or down, make a breach in
      3. to break into
      4. to break open
      5. to break up, break in pieces
      6. to break out (violently) upon
      7. to break over (limits), increase
      8. to use violence
      9. to burst open
      10. to spread, distribute
      11. to be broken down
      12. to break away.

Genesis 38
27 Now it came to pass, at the time for giving birth, that behold, twins were in her womb. 28 And so it was, when she was giving birth, that the one put out his hand; and the midwife took a scarlet thread and bound it on his hand, saying, “This one came out first.” 29 Then it happened, as he drew back his hand,  that his brother came out unexpectedly; and she said, “How did you break through? This breach be upon you!” Therefore his name was called Perez. 30 Afterward his brother came out who had the scarlet thread on his hand. And his name was called Zerah.

The sons of Perez were valiant men as recorded in the book of Nehemiah 11:6.  Boaz and Ruth were blessed by the people around to be blessed as the family of Perez (Ruth 4:12-22).

Bible also indicates that Jesus Christ later came in the family of King David who was born to Jesse, the son of Boaz.  God was pointing to me the aspect of Jesus Christ being the Breaker.  Bible says in Micah 2:13
13 The one who breaks open will come up before them;
They will break out,
Pass through the gate,
And go out by it;
Their king will pass before them,
With the Lord at their head.”

Jesus Christ, the King of Glory, will go before us breaking the obstacles and barriers, leading us through into victory.

BREAKING THROUGH THE OBSTACLES TO RELEASE THE REVELATORY TRUTH:
The Lord wants to deal with us internally to break through our outward circumstances.  He wants to break in within us to cause break out in the external.  In order to get a word of revelation for your situation for instance for your finances, ministry, or marriage or the child your praying to have, break every obstacles like sin, satan, enemies of God, or obstacles that the Holy Spirit is pointing out.  Sit in the presence of God to show you what are the obstacles and ask Jesus, the Breaker, to break all the obstacles that are obstructing the revelatory TRUTH to be revealed to you.  Ask the Lord to soften your heart to receive the revelation.  Your natural thinking or mind is an obstacle to the revelatory truth.  Your experience is an obstacle that can hinder the revelatory truth.  We have to break out of our small-mindedness and enter into the mind of God. The word of revelation is the key with which you can break through in your prayers and it will happen in the natural.
For example let me show an incidence from the life of David:
I Chronicles 14
8 Now when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. And David heard of it and went out against them. 9 Then the Philistines went and made a raid on the Valley of Rephaim. 10 And David inquired of God, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?”
The Lord said to him, “Go up, for I will deliver them into your hand.”
11 So they went up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim.[e] 12 And when they left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.
13 Then the Philistines once again made a raid on the valley. 14 Therefore David inquired again of God, and God said to him, “You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. 15 And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.” 16 So David did as God commanded him, and they drove back the army of the Philistines from Gibeon as far as Gezer. 17 Then the fame of David went out into all lands, and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.

When it was revealed that the David was anointed to be the King of Israel the Philistines came against David to kill him, to kill the future king of Israel.  So, David had to go up against the Philistines after enquiring the Lord and asking His permission and instruction for that battle.  The Lord says that He will give David the victory and that the Philistines will be defeated.  David calls that place as Baal Perazim saying “God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.”  Then, again the Philistines are coming up against David and his army.  Again, David inquires the Lord as what to do in this battle.  The Lord is giving specific revelation as to the strategy that David has to adopt.  The Lord is asking David not to go straight, but circle around the Philistines and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees.  David will hear the marching sound in the tops of the mulberry trees, then David will have to go out to battle against the Philistines knowing that the Lord has gone ahead of him against the Philistines.   The Lord is teaching David a strategy, to circle around the camp, to come in front of them in front of the mulberry trees.  The marching sound at the tops of the mulberry trees denotes that the heavenly armies of the Lord is marching and going in front of the army of David.  David has to just follow the heavenly army and inherit the victory.  What is required of David is the circumcised, spiritual ears that are attentive and sensitive to the move of God.  His ears are to be so cleansed and purified and not contaminated to hear the marching sound of the armies of God. If we do not have the required holiness in our lives we may not decipher the move of God and we can never be effective in the Hand of God as the Lord wants us to be. Remove every obstacle like distractions, experience, uncleanness, sin, spiritual compromise, lack of integrity, every form of pride, impatience, lack of wisdom, disobedience, past success, etc., for the revelatory truth to be released for that breakthrough.

UPON RECEIVING THE REVELATION OPERATE IN THE ANOINTING OF THE BREAKER:
Now, you have received the key or the revelatory truth for that breakthrough you want.  What you need is the anointing to decree and declare that breakthrough in your life with the key, the revelatory truth, you have received.  The anointing is precious, priceless, and it requires everything.  God wants to break you free to put that anointing in you.  We have seen that one of the characters of Jesus Christ is to break through.  He is the Breaker.  When you and I are anointed by the Spirit of the one who breaks through, we can operate with the anointing and authority of the Breaker.

Just want to share what the Lord has been teaching me in regards to the word perez and operating in the Breaker Anointing from the following passage:
II Samuel 6th chapter we see the following incidence.
6  So they set the ark of God on a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.[b] 4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill, accompanying the ark of God; and Ahio went before the ark. 5 Then David and all the house of Israel played music before the Lord on all kinds of instruments of fir wood, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on sistrums, and on cymbals.
6 And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. 7 Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God. 8 And David became angry because of the Lord’s outbreak against Uzzah; and he called the name of the place Perez Uzzah to this day.
9 David was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?” 10 So David would not move the ark of the Lord with him into the City of David; but David took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. 11 The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.
12 Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness. 13 And so it was, when those bearing the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, that he sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep. 14 Then David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. 15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.
16 Now as the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart. 17 So they brought the ark of the Lord, and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord. 18 And when David had finished offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts. 19 Then he distributed among all the people, among the whole multitude of Israel, both the women and the men, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed, everyone to his house.
20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”
21 So David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord. 22 And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor.”
23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.

WHILE OPERATING IN THE ANOINTING KNOW THAT THE MOVE OF GOD CANNOT BE STEADIED BY HUMAN HANDS:
The passage says that the Ark of the Covenant was set in a new cart and is brought towards the City of David in a procession.  Probably, the road was not even and the oxen stumbled,  there was a man named Uzzah put forth his hand and took hold of the Ark of the Covenant.  He could have done that in the right spirit fearing that the Ark of the Covenant may fall off the cart, but the Lord’s anger rose upon Uzzah and he died there. That place was called Perez-Uzzah, the outbreak of the Lord.

What the Lord is teaching us here is that “Ark of the Covenant” is the presence or the Move of God and we cannot manipulate/handle the Move of God by our theological, philosophical, or logical reasoning or by our experience.  We should not box it up with the organizational or institutional ideas.  If attempted, it will result in spiritual death or bareness.

WHILE YOU ARE OPERATING IN THE ANOINTING, PEOPLE MAY DESPISE YOU:
David then feared and was not willing to take the Ark of the Covenant into the City of David and he wanted the Ark to be at Obed-Edom’s House.  Then David heard that the Lord blessed the household of Obed-Edom because of the Ark of the Covenant and he gained courage to take the Ark of the Covenant to the City of David.  Now with fear and trembling, offering sacrifices to the Lord, with music, dance, and worship (Ephod is a garment of worship) he was bringing the Ark of the Covenant to the City of David.   David’s wife Michal despises David because he was dancing on the streets and he was not acting in a dignified manner as a King should be.  People may talk ill of the anointing or the move of God.  Religious people will despise the move of God.

WHILE OPERATING IN THE ANOINTING DO NOT FORGET THAT INTEGRITY MATTERS MOST FOR THE PRESENCE OF GOD:
David replied his wife, “I’m dancing before my God who chose me, rather than your father and the people of your father’s house, to be the ruler of Israel. I will act even more undignified for the sake of the Lord.” David’s integrity is very much evident.  Even if people despise you, do not lose your integrity for the Lord.  YOUR ANOINTING IS HOLY, PRECIOUS, PRICELESS, AND IT REQUIRES EVERYTHING OF YOU.

GIVE DUE REVERENCE TO THE MOVE OF GOD AND THOSE WHO ARE ANOINTED:
The anointing is very dangerous also.  Michal was childless because she despised David, the anointed one, and the anointing that was upon David.  The Lord also gives us a caution here saying “Don’t mess with the anointing.”

OPERATING IN THE BREAKER ANOINTING TO BREAK IN AND BREAK OUT:
God is wanting not only to give us a breakthrough but also to be used as a vessel in His hand to bring in breakthroughs in the lives of others through the anointing that He wants to lay on us.  He wants to bring about breakthroughs in our spiritual lives, physical lives, family lives, finances, and marriages.  Also, God wants to use us to break free the lives of others who are in various bondages including sexual immorality, homosexuality, pornography, gender confusion, financial bondage, generational curses, witchcraft, and so on and so forth.

I am sure the Lord will deal with you through this message to seek the Lord with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength, to break every obstacle that is hindering you to receive the revelatory truth, to receive that anointing to declare and decree that revelation over your life, and to receive the breakthrough for your own life to become an anointed servant to declare and decree the breakthroughs in the lives of others.

May the Lord Bless You and use you for His Glory!!

Protection in Ministry – A Discussion

I have been serving the Lord Jesus ever since my childhood ever since Jesus came into my life as the Lord and savior.  I have been doing stuff like help and prayer support for Jesus’ kingdom.  A few years after it was discovered that I have a calling for literature ministry and I started writing for Jesus.  Then I realized that I have the teaching gift, gift of expounding the Word of God.  Then I realized the prophetic gift.  Over the years, my mom and other people have always encouraged me doing all these aspects of ministry.   Since last August 2012, God has taken me into newer levels in the ministry, into healing and deliverance ministry. Ever since, people of God started cautioning me including my mom.  Of late, miracles, healings, and deliverances are starting to frequent as I minister to people.  Elder women who are happy as well as kind of cautioning me, you have to protect yourself much while you do these; You have to command the devil not to follow you as you leave the people you have ministered to; You have to pray before you enter your house after having ministered to someone with a prayer of deliverance; Yesterday one sister known to me told me that we should visit a cancer patient and pray over her and while we were discussing about the date and time of visiting that cancer patient, she also added a point, before that we have to protect ourselves otherwise we will be attacked; One more elder sister was telling me, you need more training in this, so you have to attend the training conferences and camps and then you take up such tasks from the Lord, until then don’t do it; and one other sister was saying, you need backup prayers to support you as you fight with the satan and his demons face-to-face.  On one side cautions and on the other side the openings for such a ministry.  So, I was constantly pondering over these.  Then the Spirit of the Lord directed me towards the ministry Jesus did while He was on this planet earth.

Luke 7
20 When the men had come to Him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’” 21 And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.
22 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. 23 And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

Jesus’ ministry characterized casting out demons, outstanding miracles, healing, and preaching.  That is in short, He was doing both deliverance and teaching ministry, as well as prayer and intercession ministry.  The only thing Jesus did not do was worship ministry if I am not mistaken.  We didn’t see Jesus having problem with any of these ministry avenues and He was not counterattacked by the enemy in any way.  Though many times, Pharisees and other wicked people bad mouthed Him and though they tried to kill him before the appointed time, Jesus was not affected by any of it at all.  He did not suffer any sickness or physical ailment because of healing the people with grave disease.  He did not suffer any loss after healing a demon possessed.

Therefore, my thought is if Jesus was unaffected by any sickness, it is possible that a son or a daughter of Jesus who prays over a person with diseases or demon possession can be unaffected if he or she does not give herself to lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes or the pride of life just like Jesus.  But the question is, is it possible at all times?

In my little experience I have found that the more purity and sanctity we maintain in the Lord and the more we are intertwined with Jesus, everything went smooth and perfectly fine.  If there is even a slightest loophole in my daily walk with Jesus, I was kind of attacked. But again, all things work for good to them that love God and are called according to His purposes, God turns the attack of the enemy into blessings as I seek the Lord more intently.

Another thought is that, as we continue to walk with Jesus not worrying about what gift is being manifested only concentrating on the relationship, intimacy, obedience to Lord’s Word and Will, which include the intercession prayer and spiritual warfare prayer, protection part will be taken care of by the Lord.

I am yet to discover more in this aspect and I am really eager to learn from the Lord and from the experienced hands in the ministry.

Dear ministers and servants of God, please feel free to share your experiences and expertise if you are led by the Holy Spirit. I greatly appreciate your input.  Thanks in advance.

Questions from Corinthians (Second Epistle)

This was a post  written and published on November 5, 2010 on my Facebook notes and publishing this for the first time on my blog this day.  The Word of God stands forever and may this incorruptible seed be sown  into our hearts this day to yield much fruit in the Kingdom of God.  Please continue to read on...
    ===================================================

I was reading through the Chapters of Second Corinthians for the last two days and some of the verses "came alive" and inspired me to ask a few questions and here they are.  Scriptures that raised these questions are below each question.  Read through this.  I pray that the Holy Spirit do a deep work in our lives.

1.  Is this our conduct?
2.  Is this our faith statement?
3.  Is this our hope?
4.  Is this our walk?
5.  Is this our testimony?
6.  Is this our influence?

1.  Is this our conduct?
The verse that gave rise to this question is 2 Corinthians 4:2 (Amplified) is
We have renounced disgraceful ways (secret thoughts, feelings, desires and underhandedness, the methods and arts that men hide through shame); we refuse to deal craftily (to practice trickery and cunning) or to adulterate or handle dishonestly the Word of God, but we state the truth openly (clearly and candidly). And so we commend ourselves in the sight and presence of God to every man's conscience.
Do we require any more explanation than this?

2.  Is this our faith statement?
II Corinthians 4:8 and 9: We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair;
We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone - Jesus is with us]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;

3.  Is this our hope?
II Corinthians 4: 16 through 18:  Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day.
For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!],
Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.

4.  Is this our walk?
II Corinthians 5:7:  For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.

5.  Is this our testimony?
II Corinthians 7: 11 NIV: See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent (clear, guiltless, blameless) in this matter.

6.  Is this our influence?
II Corinthians 13:10
So I write these things while I am absent from you, that when I come to you, I may not have to deal sharply in my use of the authority which the Lord has given me [to be employed, however] for building [you] up and not for tearing [you] down.
Every Christian has his/her sphere of influence.  How is our influence on others? Are we building them up or tearing them down?

PRAYER:
Father God, we come to you in Jesus Name.  Help us to live our lives in line with Your Word; our conduct, our conversation, our conviction, our walk, our lives to reflect the Truth we have read and meditated.  Lord, help us to be a constructive influence on others.  Help us to build others and not tear them down.  Lord, bring right people into our lives who will build us up and not tear us down (II Corinthians 13:10).

Lord, Your promises are "Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus" (II Corinthians 1:20) and fill us with Your goodness, grace, and joy and help us to know You more in our lives.

If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation and old things have passed away and all things have become new (II Corinthians 5:17).  We are new creations in You Lord.  Help us to be conformed to the Image of Christ by being transformed by the Written Word.  Help us to walk in Spirit and Truth.  Lord, we bring every thought under subjection to Your word (II Corinthians 10:5).  Help us to finish well.  In Jesus Name Amen!!

Please feel free to share your comments and thoughts on this post.  Thanks.

Tabernacle Prayer - Coming to God by a New and Living Way!!

Dear Friends:
Greetings to you in the mighty name of Jesus.
The Lord has been very graciously teaching me through many people – these days through a sister.  I have been living in my current residence for the past 7-1/2 years and I know this sister ever since.  However, she was a missionary to Belgium for more than a decade until a couple of years back when she got married in Chennai and settled in Dubai.  About some months ago, she and her family completely relocated to our building with the intention to settle in India.  But about a month back, the Lord all of a sudden led her husband to go back to Dubai first and then take her wife once all things are made ready for her to move there.  Now, this led me and that sister to find more time together and has enabled me to learn from her what the Holy Spirit has been teaching me.  I am studying in the School of Holy Spirit.  Last Thursday i.e. on September 6, 2012, the Lord led us to watch Dr. Cho’s (Pastor of the World’s Largest Church - South Korea) Tabernacle prayer viayoutube.  We took down the notes and we implemented it the next day in a Friday meeting at a friend’s place and then on in our personal prayer.  Normally Dr. Cho prays for 5 hours per day, but this tabernacle prayer can be done even in an hour.  As the responsibility grows, the prayer life should also grow.  The ministry should flow out of our intimacy with God; otherwise, it is not worth it.

My intention is to glorify Jesus alone and I am just learning along with you all in the School of the Holy Spirit, this is available only for those who want to do God’s ministry in God’s way and has a longing to be in the Center of God’s perfect Will.  I am learning as much as I can as she would be leaving the country shortly to join with her husband.  We never had such a time before, because I was busy with office and work and she was busy with her husband and family.  Now, I am off my secular job and now she has more time and freedom for God and ministry, the Lord has enabled us to learn from the Holy Spirit in this time together.  Thanking the Lord for His grace and time and surrendering our lives for His work in and through us.

I found this prayer on the internet to supplement with the tabernacle prayer I learnt from Dr. Cho.  I am sharing this with you all that the tabernacle prayer would revolutionize the prayer life of every reader.

May the Holy Spirit minister to us!

In Christ’s Service,
Under the Shed-blood of Jesus,
Shanta Daniel

How To Pray Tabernacle Prayer?

What follows is a basic outline of how to pray Tabernacle Prayer | Temple Prayer.
What I aim to do here is give a very brief overview and show how you can go through the Tabernacle in one hour.
Together with the Lord’s Prayer this is my favorite track of prayer, and the one in which I experience the most rewarding fellowship with God.
The track is based on the layout of the Tabernacle of Moses, as pictured below:

1. THE BRAZEN ALTAR – THE CROSS

Every day you must come to the cross of Jesus Christ as many times as possible. There you worship the Lord. There you see God judging your sin through Jesus Christ. Just as God judged the sin of Israel through the animals, Jesus judges your sin through Jesus Christ.
1. Say: “Dear Jesus Christ. I worship You for Your blood. I thank You because Your blood forgave all of my sins. All of the sins that I have committed, and all of the sins which I am going to commit in the future, You have forgiven eternally.”
2. Pray this prayer: “Jesus, I worship You because through the blood You have delivered me from the power of Satan and the world. You move me to the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Now I am living in Your Son’s Kingdom through the blood of Jesus Christ.”
3. Pray: “I praise You God for the blood of Jesus Christ because that blood declares to me that I was completely freed from all kinds of sickness and infirmity. Jesus, through the stripes which You received at the courtyard of Pilate, my sickness and diseases have been taken away since 2,000 years ago. I praise You for divine healing through the blood of Jesus Christ. ”
4. Pray, “Dear Jesus, through Your blood I have been redeemed from the Adamic curse. Because of Adam the earth was cursed. The earth was to bring forth thistles and thorns. That is the symbol of all the failure in life. Oh God, You took our curse on the cross. Because the Bible says that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law becoming a curse for us that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles. So through Your blood I am completely delivered from the curse. I am delivered from failure and poverty. I am free from the curse. I have the blessings of Abraham. I am a blessed person.”
5. Next, pray: “Dear Jesus, through Your blood I am delivered from death and hell. Jesus, You died and You were resurrected. You conquered death and hell. You brought the glory of the Kingdom of heaven. By the blood of Jesus Christ I am completely delivered from death and hell and am now living in the glory of Jesus Christ. I am a member of the kingdom of God. I have the eternal Kingdom in me so I praise God because of the blood. I worship Jesus and praise Him because of the blood.”

2. THE BRAZEN LAVER – PLACE OF SANCTIFICATION

In the courtyard you move from the brazen altar to the laver. The laver is full of water. Before the high priest entered the Holy place, he washed his hands and feet. He was cleansed and sanctified. This is a picture of the Word of God and the Spirit of God Who changes us.
1. Pray: “Oh God, make me righteous through Your grace. Heavenly Father, make me truthful. Please help me not to live in lies. Let me not tell lies. Let me he a truthful person before You and before other people. ”
2. Then pray: “Heavenly Father, make me a faithful person. Loyal to God. Make me very faithful and loyal to God.”
3. Pray: “Oh God, let me not break God’s Law, so that I will be loved by You. Make me very faithful and loyal, especially as far as the Ten Commandments are concerned.”
4. Then pray for personal sanctification: “Father, make me holy and sanctified. make me a holy person. Cleanse my heart so that it is pure.”
5. Pray: “Father, give me grace to forgive and love. make me a gentle and loving person. Make me an understanding and kind person.”
6. Pray: “Father, make me a very humble and meek person. Give me a soft heart toward people.” 7. Then Pray: “Oh God, help me to live according to the measure of faith that You gave me. Don ‘t make me proud. Make me live according to the measure of faith You have given me.”

3.  THE HOLY PLACE THE GOLDEN CANDLESTICK – THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Golden Candlestick represents the Holy Spirit. Here we throw ourselves in dependency upon Him.
1. Pray: “Dear Holy Spirit, I recognize You. I welcome You. I adore You. Thank You for being in my life. You are my Senior Partner. You are the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of Jesus Christ. You are the Spirit of wisdom. You are the Spirit of understanding. You are the Spirit of counsel. You are the Spirit of power. You are the Spirit of the revelation of the Word of God. You are the Spirit of reverence which gives me the power to reveal God. So help me now. I cannot do anything without Your anointing. I depend upon You. I worship You. I thank You.”

4.  THE TABLE OF SHEWBREAD – THE WORD OF GOD – JESUS CHRIST

1. Pray, “Lord, I envy the Word of God. I admire and love the Word of God. I long after the Word of God. I read, I study, I believe, I act, I thank You, and I want to teach this Word of God. So, Lord give me a new fresh revelation in my heart. My heart is pantng for the Word of God. Please give me a new revelation.”
2. Acknowledge Christ as the Living Word. Pray that you will hear His voice as your Shepherd. Honour and love Him. Dedicate your self to follow Him.

5.  INCENSE ALTAR – PRAISE AND WORSHIP

The incense on this altar is praise and prayer to the Heavenly Father.
1. Come to this place and pray: “I really appreciate You. You delivered me from sin. You delivered me from worldliness. You delivered me from sickness. You delivered me from the curse. You delivered me from death. You are the God who is the foundation of my life. You are the purpose of my life. You are the value of my life. I worship You, the God who created the heaven and the earth and all things in them. I worship You. I thank You.”
2. Sing praises to the Lord, then begin to speak in tongues.

6.  ARK OF THE COVENANT – THE HOLY OF HOLIES – THE PRESENCE OF THE FATHER

When you come to the Holy of Holies and see the blood on the ark of the covenant, you are in the presence of God, right in front of the throne of God.
1. Pray, “I am eternally forgiven. I am eternally declared righteous. I am eternally saved. I am eternally blessed by His blood covenant. I thank You, dear Heavenly Father. I am now a member of Your Family. I am Your child and I joy in the triune God. I am living in the Holy of Holies. Father, now I have many requests. I want You to hear them and help me. ”
2. Pray all the things you want to receive from the Lord and thank Him for them.
3. Spend as much time as you are able or want to here before the Father, fellowshipping with Him, loving and listening.
